What is Eady Levy System The Films Actabolished the Eady Levy System which was created by Wilfred Eady in The plan of the Eady Levy System was to tax box offices to help support the BFI (British Film Industry) Anything else. (1) This Act may be cited as the Films Act (2) The following provisions of this Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed, namely— (a) section 6 and Schedule 1; (b) section 7(1) and Schedule 2 so far as relating to the M6Finance Act and the M7Finance Act.
